Gas Crossbore Locate Card

The POSM Gas Crossbore locate card manager provides a way to connection pipe inspections with locate card data. Unique locate cards may be created and the data about the cards stored in POSM’s database. The physical locate cards themselves may be scanned and added to the card as well. POSM inspections may be also added to each card allowing all data to be searched and tied together. One unique feature of the locate card manager allows multiple inspections to be linked to each card. Inspections may also be linked to multiple cards.

How to use the Crossbore Locate Manager

All locate card fields may be used for search purposes. Using the “Search By” field the user may select a locate card field to search for data. The user may then select a value to search for. The Operator value selects =, >, >=, <, <= searches. Using the search button the user may search for a locate card. By default all cards are listed.
To create a new card enter a unique name for the locate card. The software will search the database to ensure the card name is unique. If a locate card name is created with the same name in another POSM database, it will not cause a collision as locate cards are all stored as GUID (Global Unique Identifier) values. To begin editing press the New Card button.

Once the locate card values are entered into the data boxes the user may save the data by pressing Save. The delete button will remove the card.
Clear fields will clear all the current data in the data boxes.

To add a file (PDF, JPG, Doc, etc) to the locate card select the locate card from the list. Press the Add button under Locate Card
Files section. A windows file dialog box will show allowing the user to select a file. To remove a file from the card, select the file, then press remove.
To view the file, select the file and press open.

The session search works just like POSM Session management. All features available in POSM Session management search are avaible for Locate Card session search. Refer to the session management manual on how to search for inspections by All Templates, or by a specific template.

When the inspections have been selected. The sessions may be added to the locate card by pressing the “Add Session” button. To remove a session, select it from the list and press remove. The session may be viewed by selecting it and pressing the Open button.

In this example four locate cards have been made; SLC_1, SLC_2, SLC_3, SLC_4.
There are two storm drains (SD2 and SD3), one mainline sewer (MS1), and four house laterals (MS1_1_1, MS1_2_1, MS1_3_1, and MS1_4_1) inspected.
As these inspections are all on Sharon Hill Dr the user could search for AssetLocation = Sharon Hill.

To add inspections MS1, SD2 and MS1_1_1 to the SLC_1 card, the user would select inspection 274, 275, and 277. Pressing the “Add Session” button would link these inspections with
