SoŌware text overlay with MPEG4 Video
There are two methods to use soŌware text overlay with MPEG4 video compression. Method 1
Using the 2nd channel of the sensoary in soŌware MPEG4 mode, a MPEG4 file can be created. Do use this mode open the POSM SoŌware Video Recorder and check the MulƟ-Encoder this changes the hardware encoder to MJPG and uses the FFMPEG soŌware recording engine to capture video.

Under the Bitrates tab the user may select the video Type MPEG 4, MPEG 1 or MPEG 2. The container type can be changed from MP4 or AVI. It is suggested to use MP4. ChanƟng the WMV/Mult Bit Rate allows the user to select the bitrate to record the video.
Lastly the user can choose opƟonal input values into the FFMPEG encoder. One popular opƟon is -vf yadif to deinterlace the video as its encoded. This is not required but does make for a beƩer looking video file.
Method 2
Using the primary channel to record video and POSM 10, MPEG4 video can be recorded via the same process as Method 1. This is typically used for HD customers who do not have 2 channel Sensoary encoders. But it can be used with a Sensoray 2253 encoder as well. Under the POSM preferences for Setup Video and Image opƟons, the use will check Enable SoŌware Whole Run Recording. When they click on Image opƟons, they can control the FFMPEG MulƟ Encoder.

The six buƩons below the seƫngs will load defaults tested to work with POSM 10. Default and Default
320 are for systems that do not have an NVIDIA Cuda card and will use the CPU to encode video. If the computer has a NVIDIA card, the H264, H265 CBR and VBR seƫngs may be used.
When using this opƟon the video that is shown in POSM will be recorded to the MPEG4 file. The 2nd
channel will not be used.
